    Buffalo Chicken Tator Tot Nachos

Have you ever heard of a totcho before? Welp, now you have. A totcho is simply a tator tot nacho. But instead of using tortilla chips as the base, you use tator tots. When you put the words tator tot and nacho together you get totcho. These buffalo chicken tator tot nachos are usually a football game day appetizer. But if you've made my buffalo chicken sliders, then you know my buffalo chicken can be enjoyed at any time.

With Super Bowl coming up, I wanted to make something different. Every year I see the same appetizers at each party: chips and dip, wings and some other fried food. Now don't get me wrong, I love a good dip and some wings. But I wanted to make an appetizer that would really 'wow' people. So, one day, I made buffalo chicken sliders for my fiancé and we had a lot of chicken left over. I was going to use the leftover chicken for some regular nachos, but had a craving for some tator tots. So I decided to try the buffalo chicken and tator tots together. IT WAS SO GOOD and now I don't think I can eat buffalo chicken with anything else.

How to Assemble Buffalo Chicken Tator Tot Nachos

    1. Make my buffalo chicken (from my buffalo chicken sliders recipe)
    2. Preheat the oven to 450º to bake the tater tots. I like mine super crispy.
    3. Place half of the tots in the bottom of a cast iron skillet. If you don't have a cast iron, you can also use a sheet pan.
    4. Top the tots with half the buffalo chicken and half the shredded cheese. If using the cast iron skillet, repeat the layers as necessary. If using a sheet pan just lay everything out in a single layer.
    5. Bake the tater tot nachos until the cheese is melted.
    6. Add your toppings! I added ranch and green onions. But some other options would be blue cheese dressing, blue cheese crumbles or more of Frank's RedHot Buffalo Wings Sauce.
