Christmas Eve is only three days away! It's almost that time where all the kids around the world leave cookies and milk out for Santa Claus to enjoy while delivering presents. But with so many different cookie recipes to choose from, how do you pick which one to leave for Santa? My recipe for Santa's chocolate chip cookies are definitely going to be Santa's new favorite.
I remember growing up, my brother and I were always fighting about which cookies to leave for Santa. My brother is a chocolate chip cookie guy, but I was an M&M girl. So when making holiday cookies this year, mixing the two cookies from my childhood was the perfect idea.
These cookies are made using classic cookie dough recipe with holiday M&M's, white chocolate chips and vanilla pudding mix. It may seem weird to put vanilla pudding mix in cookie batter but this is the key ingredient to these cookies soft and moist texture. But make sure you don't make the pudding, only use the dry mix.
How to make the dough
- In bowl, beat butter, sugar & brown sugar together until fluffy.
- Add egg and vanilla. Beat well.
- Add in flour, pudding powder mix, baking soda and salt. Slowly stir first and beat until all ingredients are completely incorporated.
- Slowly stir in chocolate chips.
- Fold in ½ the M&M’s.
- Cover and refrigerate the dough overnight. (Do not skip this step. It is the reason these cookies are thick and full).
