I am a vodka soda girl with 3 limes, through and through. That has been my drink order for a few years now. That is until I made strawberry tequila soda! WOW is all I can say. These drinks are super light, refreshing and are only 81 CALORIES PER DRINK! That is a win in my book.
During quarantine I have had many failed attempts at the cool, crafted cocktails you get at restaurants or see on Pinterest. To name a few, I tried to make concord grape margaritas...FAIL. I tried to make Frosé...FAIL. All I wanted to do was level up my drinking from home. Why was that so hard?
Anyway, when I stumbled upon tequila sodas, I wanted to sweeten it up a bit. And since I am a huge strawberry fan, I thought why not give them a try in these cocktails. And I am glad I did! Strawberry tequila soda his is my new favorite drink!
So, to make these tequila sodas all you need is tequila, club soda (you can use tonic if you prefer), strawberries, and limes. You don't need any fancy bar tools either to make this cocktail at home, especially when the recipe is this easy. Just grab a shot glass, a cup and spoon for stirring.
First, muddle the strawberries in the glass that you're going to be drinking your cocktail from. You can use the butt of a wooden spoon as a muddler. Make sure you break up any large strawberry pieces. Next, add tequila, club soda (or tonic) and lime juice. Stir until well mixed. Last, just add ice.
